Imagine a Clippers vs Rockets 1st Round Playoff Match

Would you guys be rooting to see this happen? And if it does indeed happen, can you imagine the Clippers pulling an upset like the Warriors did versus the Mavericks back in 2007?

No.  Well, if CP3 pulls a hammy or injures his hand, which has a 50/50 chance of happening

Right now I would take any playoff spot I could get.  Rockets are beatable if we can contain Harden.  I don't think CP3 is capable of beating us by himself.  We get Gallo back and Thornwell plays like he did last night we can be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

Of course they'll be favored big time against us but we'll gonna beat them up and make them sweat it out in the process for sure. If we somehow get Ty back on the roster we could have a nonstop rotation of Thornwell, Ty, Evans, and possibly Avery Bradley on Harden for every minute of the serious. Basically 3-4 pitbulls on Harden throughout the series. Also the frontcourt of Montrez, DJ, and Boban are gonna be a problem for teams as well. Oh my! Now if Doc makes his usual comment of "I like my team"- It'll actually have some weight to it for a change.

^and Boban....... Also I just want us to be fully healthy going into playoffs and see what happens... Also Sid has guarded Bron and KD. I could see him guarding Harden.. Heck even Evans can guard him.

I would much prefer to meet them in the second round, since we are evoking wishes. Would love, love the irony of CP getting a 2nd round exit at the hands of the Clippers.

Plus, Beverly and Gallo may be healthy enough to contribute by then...

No, I am not rooting for this to happen.

Minnesota, OKC, or Utah would be more entertaining to me.

If they were seeding them 1 through 16, Toronto would be the opponent.  Beating Boston would be more entertaining to me.

Not really. I'd rather face the Pelicans/Spurs/Blazers/Wolves/Nuggs in the 1st round. I'd rather face the Rockets in the 2nd round just like CorkScrew mentioned.

1st round better for me. More rest between games and the start of playoffs.

I think there's a little more rest in the 2nd round.

For example, there's usually not any games on the first Friday of the 2nd round.

You got that right, you would be imagining a sweep as in your own imagination.....then you would wake up....

I for one don't think we would sweep either as I do think you guys have some nice pieces..but you have no superstar...

We won't even make the playoffs if we keep giving Austin that many minutes...

With our "defense" since the All-Star Break, I don't think we could beat anyone in a series anymore - so no, I'm not really looking forward to a series against anyone.

Tough to put up good defensive numbers when GSW, Houston, Denver in Denver, and Cleveland is on your schedule.

Guess they would need to learn how pretty quick since it will be those type of teams in the playoffs right???????

That's not a good excuse. We gave up 120 points to Brooklyn and 117 to Phoenix. Those are two of the shittiest teams in the league. Our "defense" is atrocious.

We beat them, didn't we?

Yes, but the chances are slim that we beat actually good teams in a playoff series by giving up 66-point first halves and 120-point games on a regular basis.

So.... You're saying we should extend Doc and Austin.

i'm rooting for the clippers vs. rockets in the first round. no one will expect us to win so we can play loose and maybe pull off a great upset.

but i'm also rooting for the spurs to face either the warriors or rockets in the first round, with kawhi back.

If Memphis is healthy next year and makes the playoffs, I'd also like to see a Clippers playoffs series with them, and get that reignited.

Doesn't matter who we play. The important thing is getting into the playoffs. Considering that Chris Paul decided to join the Rockets and we traded Blake I think most people are counting us out. If we make it in as the 8th seed that will be a huge surprise

The Spurs will be the shitty draw for a top team if Kawhi comes back and is at full strength heading into the playoffs. If they finish at the 7 or 8 seed, Houston/Golden St. will be very nervous
