this has all the makings to be a very exciting game with both teams going as hard as possible for city supremecy.

j/k it should be a dud. But buddy got box seats, the one with the free food and drink, so going to the game tonight. Well, let's hope a good draft and offseason to come back stronger. It's been fun.

I think we beat the Lakers 17 out of the last 18 times we have met so it is very important to make it 18 out of 19.  They have Kuzma, B. Ingram, and Ball all out tonight.  We have Lou, Austin, and the other four injured guards out.  Could be DeAndre Jordan's last game as a Clipper although I hope not.  Could be a lot of guys not on our team next year.  This is the equivalent of an exhibition game so the home team should have a big advantage.  Which is us.  Lakers have Lopez playing for a contract along with Randle and Caldwell-Pope so those guys may go at us really hard to try and prove their worth both to the Lakers and potential suitors.  So they could give us a battle and we are short of scorers on the available roster.

I probably will watch Utah at Portland which is on at the same time.  Fight for third seed there.  Pelicans - Spurs and Minny vs. Denver also games to watch.  Seedings are crazy at the three through eight spots in the West this year.

I'm rooting hardcore for Austin tonight. Let him score 40+ so that way he ends the season with a massive ego and he opts out of his contract and/or some dumb executive is willing to spend money on him or trade actual value for him.

I will be at the game and it should be fun. Last game of the season is usually a good audience.

The Clippers have never gone 12-0 against the Lakers, Suns, and Kings.

I've mentioned this a few times this year.  The closest was 11-1 a few times.

Keyon Dooling dunked on Shaq in one of the games in 2004.  Wish I could find a replay of that game so I could upload that clip.

Wow, that was fast.  YouTube blocked at work, so I'll have to wait until tonight to see if you found what I was thinking of.

I think I'm also remembering Stuart Scott's voice as he showed this clip during SportsCenter.  He probably did a Boo Yeah.

So, I haven't given out the POST OF THE MONTH award in a few months.

But assuming Mistwell's video is of the play I think it is (I'll check later tonight), that post gets the award!

I never would have thought someone would find a random play to a game from 2004, by a less talked about player (Keyon Dooling).

DJ got shoved into Pope.  Good of him to go check on Pope after the play.  Nobody needs to get hurt in this game.

First, he has to make a layup.

Clippers Twitter is caping for Austin as usual. It's not an injury, this is how he always plays. He can't shoot but still chucks, and he can't play defense.

Ok, that wasn't quite how I remembered it.  First, he went around Shaq.

Second, I had remembered it from the top of the key, not a baseline drive.

But, it got oohs from the crowd, so it was probably what I was thinking of.  And it was probably one of the best plays from the game.  So it's probably it.

Thanks again for finding it.

Bobi with another super-efficient night.   Probably finished the season as the most efficient Clipper player.  He scores as many points per minute as Lou Williams and rebounds as many per minute as DJ.

He could probably carry Austin in a papoose sling and still dominate the court, then go dancing afterwards.

The game was a lot of fun despite the loss.

I caught a hot dog, wrapped in a T-shirt, shot from a giant hot dog, triggered by Chuck the Condor. Awesome!

Lindsay Sterling, the violinist who I adore (and who I listen to something from most days) was the half-time show. More awesome!

The shop was 50% off. I bought a stuffed chuck condor doll and a ball for my daughter, and a t-shirt for myself.

I noted DJ and Doc Rivers had several loooong hugs after the game.

Everyone, from both teams and from both staffs, loves Boban. Who played well yesterday.

Hart and Payton Jr. humiliated us on our home court.  Can't anybody on this team guard the perimeter.  Or box out their man.  Got outrebounded by eight by a team whose center does not even try to get rebounds.  What an embarassing way to end the season.  Austin should have just stayed out.  He did not do anything except jack up a bunch of missed shots.  Boban proved once again that he is way too slow to stop anybody on defense.  Quicker players like Payton beat him to the ball on rebounds and score around him.  Seems this season fell apart when Teodosic got injured.  Proves we need a point guard out there to run the offense.

Suggest for next season - start Jordan, Harris, Gallo, Bradley, Teodosic.  Reserves - Lou Williams, Beverley, Harrell, Thornwell, rookie draft pick center or power forward

Get rid of Austin Rivers, Wes Johnson, Marjanovic, CJ Williams

Keep as reserves 11-14 - Dekker, other first round pick, Wallace, Jawun Evans

Just saying what I would try and do if I were the GM.  I think Wes and Austin can both opt out of their contracts and become free agents.  If they do I would not attempt to resign either one of them.  CJ is not guaranteed and there are better options available.  Boban if somebody wants him you trade him and his seven million contract to open up that roster spot.  Else I guess you could keep him but I would rather develop one of the draft picks at that position.

Did you have to go to the concession stands to put toppings on the hot dog?

Did you record Sterling's violin performance?

Since you're a vegetarian, did you give the hot dog to your friend?

1) I am a vegetarian so I gave it to my friend. Which was good timing as he was about to go buy some food. He didn't go get condiments though.

2) No. I wish I had, but I did not.

Did a player get on the mic and thank the fans, at the start of the game?  Usually that happens during the first and last game of the season.

I've been recording things at events as much as possible, the past few years.

Sometimes I prefer just recording audio, because I don't have to be concerned with what angle I have or if someone is blocking my view.

In the case of a Clippers player making a short speech, and thanking the fans, I might have audio recorded that clip, if I were at the game, just for the memory.  It's not something that's done at every game, so it would be another reminder that this game was different than others.

And definitely in the case of the violinist, as that would have been a great surprise.

We were late entering the game for several lame and a couple of non-lame reasons. First, we left my friends house and he thought he had left his door unlocked (where there had been a break-in next door recently). So we went back and checked (he had locked it) and left again....and then he realized he had forgotten the tickets. So we went back again. Mark off two lame reasons.

Then when we arrived, the lines were long to get in, and we went straight to the team store to take advantage of the lack of a crowd in there and the 50% off sale they had (I bought a Chuck the Condor doll and a ball for my daughter, and a shirt for myself. My friend bought a shirt or jacket for himself).

THEN we went to our seats...having missed most of the first quarter. Which is not normal for us. We usually are there for the shoot-around.

Forgot the tickets, lol.  That would have been the first thing I put in my pocket, that morning.

Checking to see if his door was locked, wasn't lame though.

Good idea going to the team store early.  Chances are, stuff would have ran out by the end of the game, or they wouldn't have had the right size of something, etc.

What are some of your best memories from shootaround this year?  Anything funny or interesting stand out?
